AmeriCorps members each year increase engagement for low-income youth, increase food security for children and low-income families, and provide economic opportunity for vulnerable adults. In return for service, AmeriCorps members receive a biweekly living allowance and money for school!
More than 80,000 AmeriCorps volunteers serve communities across the country each year. AmeriCorps members leave their term of service with experience and training to help them enter the workforce–many members are hired as full-time staff with the organization they served with.
