Start the School Year with Confidence

Through partnerships with local businesses and churches, a parent may qualify to receive a new pair of school shoes for their child and/or a pack of grade-appropriate school supplies. Distributions are scheduled in late summer for registered participants.

Corporate sponsors, local churches and individual volunteers make these distributions possible.

Participants who registered can pick up school items on Friday, August 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at DeWitt Perry Middle School.

If you have any questions, please contact your Case Manager.

Corporate sponsors, local church groups, and individual volunteers make this food program possible.

Help Sack Summer Hunger

We provide weekly distributions of easy-to-prepare, kid-friendly meals and snacks for youngsters in certain areas during the summer break.

Designed to help feed children who qualify for free/reduced meals during the school year, weekly Sack Summer Hunger deliveries are made by volunteers on Saturday mornings to designated sites within our service area.

Our dedicated volunteers help load Thanksgiving food for clients.

Food for Thanksgiving Week

Distributed prior to the Thanksgiving holiday when children do not have access to meals at school and parents may have fewer wage-earning hours or not earn a paycheck, this seasonal distribution includes a supply of food for multiple meals.

On the day of distribution friendly volunteers load food into each participant's car. Many donors, local churches and individuals make this annual distribution of Thanksgiving food possible.

Holiday Toys, Gifts, Winter Coats & Food

In December when utility bill costs can rise and meager household budgets can't stretch to include holiday celebrations, we distribute to families and seniors.

  • Families may qualify to receive unwrapped toys and gifts, boxes of food and new or gently used winter coats. Distributions are based on family size and conducted at a temporary holiday site by appointment only.
  • Seniors may place a request in advance to receive a home-delivered holiday basket. Seniors may indicate their preferences on types of items to be provided. Volunteers fill and deliver these baskets to the recipient's home.

Numerous corporate donors, local churches, schools, civic groups and individual volunteers make our  large-scale holiday distributions possible.
